Bank Protection with Tubular Sheet Piles for Complex Shoreline Sections
Bank protection with tubular sheet piles is applied in areas where the shoreline experiences increased loads from water, soil, machinery, berthing facilities, or future site development. A tubular sheet pile wall has high rigidity and bearing capacity, making it suitable for complex hydraulic structures, industrial sites, quay zones, canals, rivers, and water bodies with unstable soils.
The structure consists of steel pipes that are driven along the design line to form a robust bank‑protection barrier. Depending on the design, pipes can be connected with interlocking joints, reinforced with tie‑beams, anchor systems, concrete, and backfill. The installation method is selected according to geology, water level, embedment depth, equipment access, and requirements for adjacent structures.
This solution not only protects the bank from erosion and soil displacement but also prepares the site for further construction, operation of the quay area, or installation of engineering infrastructure.
Prices
The cost of bank protection using tubular sheet piles is calculated individually for each project and depends on a range of factors. The final price is influenced by the pipe diameter and wall thickness, embedment depth, soil and hydrological characteristics, length of the reinforced section, and the need for headstocks, stiffening belts, or anchor systems. For an accurate estimate, project data and engineering survey results are required – after analysing them, the contractor will prepare a custom commercial offer.
