About the Technology
Static pressing of Larsen sheet piles is used where vibro-installation cannot be applied due to noise, vibration, or proximity to existing buildings restrictions. Essentially, this is static sheet pile installation — the method allows installing Larsen sheet piles without impact loads and pronounced dynamic effects on the soil and adjacent structures.
The works are performed by a special installation that ensures sheet pile installation by pressing using hydraulic force, without vibration and impacts. Before starting the works, geology, design elevations, sheet pile type, equipment access conditions, and presence of underground utilities are checked.
- Project and Site Analysis - we check the sheet pile enclosure project, geology, installation depth, noise, vibration, and equipment access restrictions.
- Equipment and Tooling Selection - we determine the type of equipment for static pressing, grippers, guides, and auxiliary equipment.
- Work Zone Preparation - we organize access, sheet pile storage, geodetic layout, control elevations, and safe work zone.
- Sheet Pile Pressing - we install sheet piles with control of verticality, design axis, interlock connections, and actual installation depth.
- Acceptance of Completed Works - we check the sheet pile wall position, record elevations, and transfer the result for the next construction stage.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
When is static pressing chosen instead of vibro-installation?
This method is chosen when working near existing buildings, engineering networks, historical development, or objects sensitive to vibration. It is also suitable for sites with strict noise restrictions.
-
Is it possible to perform static pressing without a project?
A sheet pile enclosure project is required to perform the works. Without a project, a preliminary assessment of site conditions, possible technology, and approximate budget can be conducted.
-
Is it possible to perform works in winter?
Yes, static pressing is possible during the winter period. Restrictions depend on the site condition, ground freezing, equipment access, and project requirements.
-
How is the installation quality controlled?
Control is carried out according to geodetic layout, design axis, verticality, installation depth, and condition of interlock connections. All deviations are recorded and checked during the works.
