Sale of AZ 18-770 sheet pile
When constructing deep excavations, quay walls, and shore protection structures, a sheet pile with high load-bearing capacity is required. The AZ 18-770 profile is a Z-shaped section rightly considered one of the most efficient solutions in global practice.
Design features of the Z-profile
Unlike the classic U-sheet pile, the AZ 18-770 profile features an elongated wall shape and symmetrical interlock positioning on both sides of the neutral axis. This positively affects the section modulus, allowing the structure to withstand significantly greater bending loads at the same steel weight.
Main advantages of the AZ 18-770 Z-sheet pile:
- Good ratio of section modulus to mass – maximum load-bearing capacity per ton of steel;
- Increased moment of inertia relative to deflection – the retaining wall preserves its geometry even under soil and water pressure;
- Large profile width (770 mm) – reduces the number of piles per linear meter of wall, speeding up installation;
- Thick steel – provides high corrosion resistance, which is critical for hydraulic engineering and aggressive soils.
Geometric stability and full interlock compatibility are confirmed by quality certificates.
Applications
- Retaining of excavations up to 10–12 m deep;
- Construction of quays, piers, and sheet pile walls;
- Reinforcement of slopes and shorelines;
- Anti-landslide and anti-filtration barriers.
